Our Home Away From Home

We've spent a week in the mountains with Granny and Papa at their house.  It has been wonderful, especially since the hubby has been away in Michigan at football camp and I had the two kids all by myself.  We've been spoiled rotten, both the kids and I from homemade waffles for breakfast, steak for dinner, ice cream for dessert and candy from the candy store.  We had a picnic at the park, played in the creek, took morning walks down and then back up the mountain, and spent hours on the back porch swinging and rocking the afternoons away.

One morning we found the beach in the mountains.  A little lake with sand, water, a playground and mountains in the distance.  A little slice of heaven.  It was a beautiful, and I can imagine Yates going fishing there with Dada while Mama and Chloe sunbathe on the beach in the very near future.

The mountains have become our home away from home.  We've had a great week, but now I'm ready for my hubby to be home so we can share these memories together.
