Chloe - 2 years 6 months
Yates - 16 months
Chloe's the mother hen. She's the first to tattle on Yates. She also gets irritated at his lack of understanding the importance of calculating risks. Despite having an older sibling Yates typically does his own thing and doesn't always follow her lead. Yates is playful, Chloe is a bit more serious. Chloe is loving, but Yates needs my love. Every so often during the day he comes over just to give me a hug or to sit in my lap. When he wakes up in the morning he lets me hold him and rock him as long as I want. Chloe's never had the time for that, she'll give a hug and that's enough.
They may not be twins, but sometimes I find myself forgetting they are 13 months apart. Yates can do practically anything Chloe can do, and most hours of the day they are inseparable. I hope with all my heart they stay best friends, and I thank God for my close little family: my strong-willed, cautious Chloe - and my tender-hearted, independent Yates.
