Mountains with Sprinkles on Top

Ice cream... you scream... we all scream for ice cream... preferably in the mountains, by a creek.  One of my favorite afternoons from our mountain vacation with Granny and Papa was getting ice cream.  We come from a family who loves sweets, and thinks that dessert should really come before every meal.  A few things I want to remember from this particular afternoon:

1 // Chloe always wants "pink" ice cream = strawberry.  I don't actually think she cares that it is strawberry but she just likes the fact that it is pink.  She didn't even come close to finishing her ice cream cone - she was much too busy asking what everyone else was doing, and watching what was going on around her.

2 // Yates, on the other hand, did not want to share his vanilla ice cream cone - and he held fast to his "no" answer every time someone asked for a bite - with a grip stronger than super glue.

3 // Chloe doesn't usually like to be messy and requests for a napkin whenever eating - however on this afternoon she could care less and didn't mind getting a little sticky.

4 //After ice cream the two played in the creek beside the ice cream shop.  Chloe was a bit cautious and enjoyed just getting her feet wet, but didn't bother getting too dirty.  Yates loved every minute of it, and not only got his feet wet but got so dirty he had to be stripped to his diaper before even getting back into the car to go home.  A bath came soon after.

5 // Ice cream tastes better in the mountains, by a creek, with a view, and with Granny and Papa.
