A Wild Day

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yates is fearless.  He loved every animal, no matter how big or small - he wanted to feed each and every one.  Chloe was hesitant and waited to see what Yates would do first.  The giraffes had the sweetest faces and the bison had the biggest tongues I have ever seen.  We even saw 12 day old piggies.  It was a pretty good way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Football season has now officially begun.  Dada is gone from about 6:00am until 10:00pm everyday.  Being a coach's wife makes for long days, so we plan on spending as much time as possible on the football field with him this summer.

 

A Good Day

 

 

We started our day off with a concert in the park...

And watched the sun set at Dada's football scrimmage...

 

 Yesterday was a good day.  One of those "I win as a Mom" days.

Sugar and Spice

 

In the summertime afternoons can be long... and my two sweet kids can get spicy.  They are hot, tired and hungry.  Spending some time in a nice, cool bakery is the perfect way to turn them from spice to sugar.  Chocolate chip cookies to taste and smells of warm bread baking filling the air makes just the right amount of magic for a good afternoon. With our bellies full and a bit of sugar to perk us up we are ready to tackle the rest of the day...

 

... but not without a few chocolate stains on our shirts and cookie crumbs in our hair.
