We dyed Easter
eggs earlier this week. Chloe loved
every minute of the new craft that Mama had planned. I let Yates play with the freshly boiled eggs,
but was a little afraid of what he would do with the dye. The last time I let him color he tried to eat
the crayon... just keeping it real.
Chloe acted like an expert though, and seemed to know exactly what to
do. I warned her ahead of time that it
would splash when she placed the egg in the cup - and Heavens to Betsy - we
didn't want to make a mess. She did such
a good job and even asked for a napkin when a little spilled. So maybe I've
made her a bit of a neat-freak... oops.
Point is, we didn't go fancy, we didn't go overboard... just made a few
memories dying Easter eggs for the first time as a family - and we will
certainly enjoy them as table decorations when we eat our Easter lunch.
No how-to-Pinterest-inspired
eggs here... just your ready-made store bought egg dye cups. And we had just as much fun. Maybe next year Martha Stewart.
Hope you
have an egg-citing Easter!
